Selecting a Donor

Fairfax Cryobank has over 25 years of experience, unsurpassed donor testing, and a friendly and knowledgeable Client Services team, to help assist you with your donor sperm needs.  The first step in the process is selecting a sperm donor. Selecting a Donor is a very personal process that is unique to each client. Due to the strict regulations on the number of women who can use a given donor and import donor sperm into Australia, not all donors may be available to all clinics. In addition, availability is subject to change at any time. We encourage you to contact our Client Services team; Australian toll free 800 336 701 Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 8:00 pm EST or by email at global@fairfaxcryobank.com with your questions.  Please state that you are a patient of Genea Health and include the location you will be working with when you inquire so that we can confirm the donors that are available for you to choose from.

Ordering and Shipping

Once you select a donor, please email our global team to assist with the purchase. We recommend that you prioritize your list (1st, 2nd, 3rd choice) before placing your order. For those ordering semen vials for the first time, you must read our Terms of Use and sign electronically or print, sign, scan and return it to global@fairfaxcryobank.com at least one business day prior to placing your first order. This important document explains what to expect from our donor program and what we expect from you when purchasing and utilizing our services.

Genea Health will arrange for the import of the semen from Fairfax Cryobank and store the samples for your upcoming procedure. When ordering, there are a few things to keep in mind: (1) cost/vial  ICI: $910 USD per unit; IUI: $1010 USD per unit; IUI ART: $960 USD per unit, and (2) the number of units you wish to purchase (a minimum of 5 vials is required for ACT and 8 vials is required for NSW to secure a pregnancy slot). All fees must be paid prior to shipment. The shipping fee is $785/shipment or bulk shipments of 10 or more vials/shipment is free. We recommend your order be placed at least 1 week in advance of your procedure.

At the time of your order you will need to have the following:

• Patient name, address, and phone number
• Medical Professional’s name and shipping address
• Donor number (1st, 2nd, 3rd choice)
• Number of units and preparation type (IVF, ICI or pre-washed IUI)
• Payment information

Customer Service takes orders 7am to 8pm Monday – Friday, Eastern Standard Time (EST) and Saturday 11:30AM-3:30PM EST.  Please be aware that the cut off time for same day Fed Ex orders is 4:00PM EST, Monday – Friday only.  We accept all major credit cards, money orders, and cashier checks. Personal checks are not accepted. Fairfax Cryobank must receive any money order or cashier check before the shipping date. We do not work with or arrange payment with insurance companies, although we can provide you with copies of paid invoices to submit to insurance upon request.

Donor Information and Availability

When ordering your donor sperm, keep in mind the following informational icons regarding sample availability. 

• Yes – available units
• Call – 20 or fewer units available. Please call to place your order.
• No – units currently unavailable but more units may be available soon.

• Waiting List – no units currently available for any specimen type.
  More units are expected for at least one preparation type and will be offered to the wait list first.

• Lifetime (adult) photos available.

• Siblings-only. No new sales.
