Update for Medical Professionals

Fairfax Cryobank has been closely monitoring all new information on the Zika virus and has taken action to protect our clients. We have implemented in our Cryobank a stringent policy to prevent viral transmission of Zika. Every donor reports, in writing, at every visit whether or not he has had symptoms of Zika virus or has, within the last six months, visited an area designated by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as having active Zika transmission. If he has, then he is not allowed to donate. As new information regarding the behavior of Zika becomes available, our policies will be appropriately updated.
