“Never did I think as a lesbian that I would be in the position that I am in now, married with two kids. This is the life I dreamed of as a kid and thanks to Fairfax Cryobank for making my dreams a reality. So many of you have asked if we used the same donor for Grey and Hayes, and the answer is YES. I mean if you can see them, you can see they were basically twins born 2.5 years apart.

We used Fairfax to select our donor back in 2017. The process was seamless and caused us zero stress or worry as we started our journey to grow our family.

Caitlyn and I were able to narrow down our search from our favorite twenty-one donors down to seven down to the last two. She had her favorite and I had mine. We used an incredible feature that Fairfax has to offer which is their face match feature. With this you can upload a photo from your computer, and it will match it to the donors in the system. The craziest thing happened when we did this…Caitlyn’s favorite donor was the donor that showed in the face match!

We are so thankful that we were able to utilize the storage option that Fairfax offers as we wanted to wait a bit after having Grey to try for our second child. Then COVID hit and we had to wait whether we wanted to or not. When the time was right and were ready a simple phone call was made, and our vial was shipped to our reproductive clinic. IT WAS GO TIME!

We were so blessed to get pregnant on our second attempt with IUI. We got pregnant the second attempt with IUI with Grey as well, seems two is our lucky number.

Fairfax will always hold a special place in our hearts, without them we would have our sweet babies.
