Your bundle of joy is on the way, and you couldn’t be more excited. You’ve read all the books and learned the basics of things to avoid when pregnant like, no alcohol, avoid smoking, and rest as much as possible. In addition to your knowledge, we put together 5 easy ways to stay healthy to ensure safe and healthy prenatal development.

Drink WATER

You’re now sharing your body with another human, which means they’re consuming almost 50% of everything you consume. Make a goal to drink around 8-10 glasses of water per day. Don’t like the taste? Try adding some fruit or a squeeze of lime into your water.

Take Vitamins

Your baby needs a little more help to grow big and strong. Remember to take your vitamins and ask your doctor about taking a daily prenatal vitamin

Exercise

It’s easy to lay around all day and binge-watch your favorite show. On the other hand, exercise can improve your mood and help you improve sleep. Check out what classes your local gym offers for pregnant women. But always check with your doctor before starting an exercise program.

Reduce Stress

Reducing stress might seem impossible. Start by eliminating stressful activities out of your life and recruit your loved ones to help you with any tasks that might trigger stress.

Educate Yourself

This might not be your first time at the rodeo. But each pregnancy is different and there is no such thing as being TOO prepared. Attend a birthing class or read up on infant care.
