Learn more about National Infertility Awareness Week, created by Resolve The National Infertility Association
April 19th through April 25th, 2020 is recognized as National Infertility Awareness Week(NIAW), named by RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association. Resolve’s mission is, “to empower you and change the conversation around infertility.” The National Infertility Association is striving to expel any myths around infertility through empowering those living with infertility to share their stories and experiences to educate others in their community.
Resolve hopes that National Infertility Awareness Week will start a conversation amongst communities while also, Enhancing public understanding of infertility, Ensuring those trying to build a family know the facts about seeing a specialist, and Educating those in power on how infertility impacts people in their community.
When NIAW was founded in 1989 they used the color orange to raise awareness of their cause. They chose the color orange to promote a sense of wellness and hopefully bring confidence and understanding around the education on infertility.
NIAW shares that anyone can be impacted by infertility. “Currently 7.3 million Americans are facing infertility, no matter what race, religion, sexuality or economic status you are, infertility doesn’t discriminate.” To learn more about National Infertility Awareness Week and RESOLVE.
